MYAKKA CITY — Myakka City held its third annual Relay for Life fundraiser this past weekend to support the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
More than 1,000 attended the 18-hour event which hosted 22 teams from the local community.
The event raised over $60,000. The high point of the evening was the luminary ceremony which honored cancer survivors and remembered those who have lost their fight to cancer.
